  The staff at the bar / restaurant are always pleasant and friendly to talk to. Many have recognized me and my fiance as regulars. The food is usually good but burgers cash be dry sometimes and some food seems frozen or rushed. Overall a great place for dinner and drinks

  It's the AGM of the St. John's chapter of the Canadian Progress Club. Service is really good. Food was on time as promised. Really nice room. Staff are very accommodating. 25 of us here.

  Review is for the Guv'nor Pub/restaurant: Went today with my girlfriend for breakfast and was quite let down by the food. We ordered one of the specials (blood pudding, eggs, hashbrowns and toast) but when I got mine, the blood pudding was quite cold. After flagging down the waiter, I told him and he took it to the kitchen. I heard him say that he needed another one cooked, only to be met with a loud "why!?" from the kitchen. By the time I'd gotten my replacement, both of us had finished eating everything else. The replacement was clearly microwaved (and probably dunked in the fryer) into oblivion and wasn't really fit to eat. It's the mark of a childish cook when you can't accept an error without being spiteful about it. I mentioned it to the waiter but there was no real show of concern about it, so I left what was remaining, paid our bill and left.. Would not recommend it based on this experience alone. 2 stars given purely because of the atmosphere since it is a nice place to sit and chat over a pint.

  The dining area was clean and the staff welcoming. Service is fast and chicken stir fry was delicious. Would recommend for quality food at a decent price.
